The Trail of Tears was about how the 5 Indian Tribes (Cherokees, Chicksaws, Chocktaws, Creek, and Seminole) had to travel west to relocate because of Andrew Jackson's enforced law and it changed the relationship between the white's and the Native American's forever. Over 4,000 indians died on this death trail and they had to change their whole life and it was a difficult and horrific time for them. The indians didn't deserve this treatment and they should have been left alone. This was a tough 30 years for the indians with trying to fight for their rights to walking a dangerous trek with some of them had no shoes or blankets which was dangerous because it was brutal in the winter season. It was really difficult for pregnant women, children, babies and the elderly to endure this type of abuse and punishment. They were for sure very happy when they trail was over and they had a home to start their whole life over (probably wasn't happy about starting a new life) but happy and thankful it was finally over.
If America had been twice the size it is, there still would not have been enough; the Indian would still have been dispossesed”
